PUSCH GENEALOGY

INGREDIENTS

  • 12 - 15 c. flour
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 4 tbsp lard
  • 3 c. water
  • 2 tbsp. yeast
  • 3 eggs, beaten

DIRECTIONS

  1. Dissolve yeast as directed on package.
  2. Heat milk (do not boil).
  3. Add sugar, salt and lard.
  4. Add water to cool milk, then add flour. Dough should be quite soft.
  5. Knead and let rise 1 hour. Do not punch down.
  6. Form into buns and let rise another hour.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 20 minutes or until brown.
