INGREDIENTS
- 1 c. white sugar
- 1 c. soft honey
- 2 eggs
- 4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/4 tsp. ginger
DIRECTIONS
- Mix sugar and honey; add eggs and mix well.
- Sift flour, soda and ginger. Add to first mixture. Mix well and chill for a while.
- Roll out on floured surface. Cut into diamond shapes with a knife.
- Put on greased cookie sheet and bake in moderate oven until golden colour. Watch carefully as they burn easily.
Note: This dough is easier to roll if kept chilled.
This was one of my grandma's Christmas cookie recipes and is still a family favourite.
