INGREDIENTS

  • 1 c. warm water
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 2 tbsp. yeast
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 tbsp. flour
  • 2 tbsp. butter or oil
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. hot milk or water
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 7-12 - 8 c. flour

DIRECTIONS

  1. Combine first 3 ingredients; let stand.
  2. Mix 1 cup sugar, flour, oil and salt in hot liquid. Cool.
  3. When lukewarm, add yeast, eggs and flour. Knead until smooth.
  4. Let rise to double bulk and knead. Let rise and form into buns or cinnamon buns. Let rise in pan.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 15 to 18 minutes.

YIELD: Twenty-four buns.
