INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tbsp. yeast
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 c. warm water
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 tbsp. oil
  • 2 c. boiling water
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 8 c. flour

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix yeast, 1 teaspoon sugar and warm water together; let stand.
  2. In large bowl, mix 1/2 cup sugar, salt and oil. Add boiling water and mix. Cool.
  3. Add yeast mixture, eggs and 1 cup flour. Mix well.
  4. Add flour to make a smooth dough. Knead every 15 minutes for 1 hour.
  5. After last kneading, form buns in pans. Let rise.
  6. Bake at 425 degrees F. for 12 to 15 minutes.

YIELD: Three to four dozen.
