PUSCH GENEALOGY

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 3/4 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 c. hot water
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 2-1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. sour milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. nuts (optional)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix cocoa in hot water; allow to cool.
  2. In large bowl, cream butter or margarine with sugar.
  3. Beat in eggs.
  4. Sift together dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture.
  5. Beat in cocoa mixture, sour milk, vanilla and nuts.
  6. Spread in large greased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake at 375 degrees F. for 20 minutes.
  8. Cool and frost.

Note: This can also be made in one 9x13 inch pan and one 9x9 inch pan.
