INGREDIENTS
- 1/4 c. cocoa
- 3/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. hot water
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 tsp. soda
- 2-1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. sour milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. nuts (optional)
DIRECTIONS
- Mix cocoa in hot water; allow to cool.
- In large bowl, cream butter or margarine with sugar.
- Beat in eggs.
- Sift together dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture.
- Beat in cocoa mixture, sour milk, vanilla and nuts.
- Spread in large greased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 375 degrees F. for 20 minutes.
- Cool and frost.
Note: This can also be made in one 9x13 inch pan and one 9x9 inch pan.
