INGREDIENTS
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 tbsp. salt
- 2 c. flour, or more
- 1/4 lb. margarine
DIRECTIONS
- Beat eggs slightly.
- Add salt to water and mix with eggs.
- Stir in flour gradually to make a soft dough.
- Have 4 quarts of boiling salted water ready.
- Dumplings can be cut on a board or plate that has been rinsed with cold water, or dropped by teaspoon directly from bowl into boiling water.
- Cook about 10 minutes, until dumplings rise to the top. Drain in colander. Rinse with cold water.
- Melt margarine in same saucepan; add well drained dumplings. Mix and keep warm until ready to serve with Creamed Chicken.
