INGREDIENTS

  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 tbsp. salt
  • 2 c. flour, or more
  • 1/4 lb. margarine

DIRECTIONS

  1. Beat eggs slightly.
  2. Add salt to water and mix with eggs.
  3. Stir in flour gradually to make a soft dough.
  4. Have 4 quarts of boiling salted water ready.
  5. Dumplings can be cut on a board or plate that has been rinsed with cold water, or dropped by teaspoon directly from bowl into boiling water.
  6. Cook about 10 minutes, until dumplings rise to the top. Drain in colander. Rinse with cold water.
  7. Melt margarine in same saucepan; add well drained dumplings. Mix and keep warm until ready to serve with Creamed Chicken.
