INGREDIENTS

  • 3 full racks spareribs
  • 2/3 c. ketchup
  • 2 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp. molasses
  • 2 tsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 small onions, finely chopped

DIRECTIONS

  1. Trim excess fat from ribs; cut into 4 rib servings.
  2. Place in covered roasting pan with 2 cups water. Bake in 350 degree F. oven for 1 hour. Add more water if necessary.
  3. Mix together remaining ingredients. Drain ribs and spread in single layer, if possible. Cover ribs with sauce and bake, covered, for another hour.
  4. Baste every 15 minutes with sauce in pan.

YIELD: Six to eight servings.
