INGREDIENTS
- 2 c. white sugar2/3 c. vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2-1/2 c. flour
- 2/3 c. cocoa
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. soda
- 2 c. hot water
DIRECTIONS
- Beat first 4 ingredients for about 4 minutes.
- Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with water.
- Put into greased or paper lined 8x12 inch pan or two 8x8 pans.
- Bake at 350 degrees F. for 45 minutes (large pan) or for 30 minutes in small pans.
This is an old-fashioned cake - very moist and keeps fresh a long time.
